Tanzania, A Land of Eden

Day 1 ­ Friday:  Board your evening transatlantic flight.

Day 2 ­ Saturday: Arrive Nairobi where you will be met by our tour director and transferred to the Norfolk Hotel.

Day 3 ­ Sunday:  Early departure for Tarangire. This National Park never receives the attention that it deserves. It is a scenic gem of wooded savanna and baobab studded grassland. It has a permanent water supply and attracts tremendous concentrations of animals. Elephants are abundant and it is not unusual to see herds of more then two hundred.

Day 4 ­ Monday:  Full day of game viewing in Tarangire. (B, L, D)

Day 5 ­ Tuesday:  Morning departure for the Serengeti. This is the premiere game park of Africa. The volume of wildlife is staggering. There are more than one and a half million wildebeest, a quarter million zebra, half a million gazelles and thousands of predators. You will not leave this park unfulfilled. Stay overnight at Sopa Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 6 - Wednesday:  Full day of game viewing in Serengeti. (B, L, D)

Day 7 ­ Thursday:  Depart for Ngorongoro Crater. Ngorongoro is acclaimed as one of the natural wonders of the world. Thousand of animals roam in a setting of sublime beauty on the floor of the crater. The animals are able to be viewed in unobstructed treeless pastures. They are all here ­ elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and even a flamingo thronged lake.

The crater invites comparison with the Garden of Eden. If only one day of your life can be spent visiting an African game park, that day should be at Ngorongoro.

Day 8 ­ Friday:  Full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch on the crater.

Day 9 ­ Saturday:  Return to Nairobi and the Norfolk Hotel.

Day 10 ­ Sunday:  Transfer to airport for your morning return flight to New York. Arrival early evening.
